Greetings, all you who love the Lord Jesus Christ. Today's ZWTF classic addresses what some consider to be a confusing passage from Romans 10, which says that, if we confess with our mouths that Jesus Christ is Lord, then we shall be saved. Hm. It sounds like a work. It sounds like we're not saved unless we utter something audible via the assistance of our larynx and lips. But how can this be, if salvation is by grace and not works/larynxes?
It's all going to be clear to you after you read this newsletter from June of 2016.
People are wondering when I'm going to make another political video. Some believe that I am afraid to make a video because I was wrong about that Trump dude. The thing is: I wasn't wrong. What I said the day after the election stands true. I will explain what it all means after the truth has manifested itself. Stay tuned. God's plans in these final years of Millennium 6 are on schedule—as they must be.
In the meantime, I'm finally back to running again. I'd "lost it" there for awhile. Due to stress, I got lazy. As if not doing any exercise will alleviate stress. Boy is that ever wrong. The opposite is true. Exercise relieves stress. My problem is that it's hard for me to work out when I'm just trying to get into shape or stay in shape. It's too vague of a goal. For me, I need a big-time, concrete goal. Back when I was training
for marathons, the race was the goal. Back when I was into bicycling, crossing the U.S. was the goal. Without a big and exciting goal, it feels like I'm just running in place. It's not enough to motivate me. So I've developed a goal. I'll tell you more about it when I'm a little more sure of it. I think you'll be entertained. And you may be inspired. It may even cause you to go out and exercise.
There is spiritual truth in all this exercise talk. Without a continual contemplation of being made immortal and rising to meet the Lord in the air, it's hard to endure this calling. The problem is, "being made immortal" and "rising to meet the Lord in the air" are things so foreign to us that they just don't seem very concrete. I have joked that if I ever went to Israel, the first thing I would want to see would be the site where
Jesus Christ Superstar was filmed—one of my favorite movies from the 70's. The thing is: it's not a joke. That's right. I would rather see where this film was made than where the real Jesus actually walked. Why? It's closer to me. It's more familiar.
So what do we do about this lack? I say we consider the sun. I'm not saying to look directly at it, of course (they say you'll go blind), but check it out with your peripheral vision. Look at photos of it, with all that crazy gas shooting out. Study it. Read about it. Get into the sun. I believe that the sun is a satisfying physical example of the warmth, power, size, and life-giving ability of Christ. When I see the sun, God and
Christ become closer to me. More real. It really does help me in my spiritual walk. I came down to Florida to get more of it, but rumor has it that it still shows up on occasion up north. But if you can't actually see it, then buy a book about it.
I also like to look at photographs of beautiful women. The female body is wonderful to me, and whenever I see it, it reminds me of the beauty of God. Believe it or not, looking at photographs of beautiful women (clothed and otherwise) helps make my spiritual walk more real. What if you're a women? Same prescription. Look at photos of beautiful women. There are lots of them on the Internet; I've checked. Take advantage of it. (The
same with the sun.)
This has just been some friendly advice from a friendly guy who is in the same boat as you: needing a little physical suggestion (the sun and the female form) of spiritual realities.
From the edge of the bottom of the Floridan peninsula, I am remaining yours—
Martin
