This presentation—the audio content and the video—is nothing less than spectacular.
What is God in control of? Maybe better to ask: Is there anything that God is NOT in control of?
An understanding of the Deity of God is foundational to every other understanding. Any teaching not built upon the Deity of God shudders in the wind. Why wouldn't it? If God is not completely in control of everything, then what is to stop an enemy—Satan, for instance—from wrecking
what God HOPES to happen but Who cannot GUARANTEE to happen ever since He supposedly dispensed a free will to every being in the universe?
Any being (either supernatural or human) with even a "little bit" of free will could use that little bit of freedom ("free will" is a sovereign realm untouchable by God; if God can touch it then it's not free) to take the rest of the territory. In fact, "a little bit of free will"
is a lie in itself, for ANY measure of independence from God is, essentially, the full measure. For how could God enter a realm—at all—that is the sovereign possession of another? The size of the realm doesn't matter, but only the quality. Freedom is freedom. Independence is independence. (How is THAT for quality?)
It is said that, "God will eventually overrule the unruly free will." But this argument denies the very essence of its own argument: a FREE will. If a will is truly free, then God CANNOT overrule it. Why? Because a true sovereign (a free will is, again, free) will likely refuse to
be overruled. Thus, this "little bit of freedom" business is cosmetic. A little bit is as good as the whole. In fact, it IS the whole.
In this video, verse after verse after verse is presented which prove its premise; God indeed controls everything. To the honest seeker with an honest and logical mind (contrary to common Christian opinion, God is logical), the verses laid out here will convince him or her that
God leaves NOTHING to chance—that is, He leaves nothing to the so-called independent actions of His creatures. How could He, when none of His creatures HAVE any independent actions? They have actions, to be sure, but none of them are independent. The damming word in the phrase "independent actions" is not the word "actions" but "independent." Likewise, the damning word in the phrase "free will" is not the word "free," but the word "will." Beings other than God certainly will things all day. But
every single one of these wills writhes helplessly beneath countless influences. Any will influenced in the least cannot be said to be independent or frenot by the honest, logical seeker.
Rodney Paris of Texas has once again put mesmerizing video (the majority here being the undersea world) to a talk that I gave in Fairview, SC, in 1996. (It may have been 1997). This cassette tape (along with about a hundred others) has languished in an Ohio storage unit for ten
years. Here it is, reborn, the truth as fresh as the day it was broadcast, and as the day that these gems entered the human race via the holy spirit of God and supernaturally-inspired men holding pens.
This is Part 5 of an eight-part series called, "The Sovereignty Series." If this address and the video moves you, then please send the link to your friends. In doing so, lives will be changed for the better.
There is no other place where God must be than on His throne.
