Hello, fellow saints. It is a joy to revisit the truth that we are in spirit. I wrote this newsletter as part of the Romans series back in October of 2015.
In this newsletter, I analyze what is—to me—one of the most absurd (absurdly wonderful) passages of Scripture. It has to do with God putting His spirit in us. As you know, we don't have a lot of spirit in us (compared to, say, Christ), but we have enough to realize that God has declared us to be righteous through the faith of His Son Jesus Christ in going to the cross. This is more spirit than the average person has, but not so much to allow us to walk on water or transfigure ourselves into
glorious beings. In fact, in order to emphasize that this operation is God's and not ours, the holy spirit inspired Paul to note that bodies into which God places this extra dose of sprit are, indeed, still dead because of sin.
Don't be depressed. This truth is, in fact, hilarious. I can't wait for you to read this edition of the ZWTF. I haven't read it in six years, and I feel more terrific now than when I woke up, at which time I did not feel very terrific at all.
Take heart, all of you, because God holds a continuous eye upon us, and His Son Jesus Christ can hardly wait to come down here and physically change us so that He can take us to our celestial home. Honestly, we are the topic of celestial conversation. They are all talking about us. The are anticipating the moment of our change, hanging streamers, inflating heavenly balloons, stabbing the hors d'oeuvres with toothpicks. Have you ever seen a heavenly limousine? Neither have I, but it's revved
up and departing the garage to pick us up.
Enjoy this writing, and please let me know what you think. Be honest—as long as you love it.
I am remaining yours from the edge of the bottom of the Floridan peninsula,
