Paul told young Timothy in 2 Timothy 4:2 to "Herald the Word. Stand by it opportunely and inopportunely." I interpret this as, "Stand by it when it seems like a good idea, AND when it seems like a
bad idea."
We all have our God-given passions—the work that makes us feel complete and useful. It is important to do this work. There are bad days when it seems like a good idea to quit, but not performing your passion is worse than performing it under adversarial conditions.
