Dear fellow-believers,
When I first saw this newest cassette tape/video conversion from Rodney, I thought, "WMEL? Hm. Sounds familiar." I had completely forgotten about this radio series out of Melbourne, FL, airing between 1995 and 1996. In fact, I had to hear the audio for about 30 seconds before I got my bearings.
I believe that this was radio time bought by R.Clay Kent of Palm Bay, FL, a pastor and teacher from that area who believed in the salvation of all. This is the same Clay Kent I debated in Fairview, SC, in the fall of 1997 on the topic of human free will. Kent, oddly, believed in the independence of the human will.
This message is a very basic one on the salvation of all—but all the elements are here. I recorded this with a general audience in mind. After all, this would be broadcast on a Christian radio station: WMEL AM 950 out of Melbourne. How did a topic like this make the grade on a Christian radio station? Your guess is as good as mine. Was someone at the station taken
hostage?
This is a good little audio/video to send to your friends to whom you want to introduce this topic. The advantage of this particular offering is that an air of legitimacy is leant to it in that it is being broadcast on the radio. Your friends will think, "Well, this must not be too freaky if it's going out over Christian radio." Don't tell them about the potential hostage
situation.
Rodney Paris keeps delivering. Our brother in Texas is on fire. As long as I keep sending him tapes, he'll keep working his magic. This won't be ending anytime soon; I think there are about a hundred tapes yet to go. Eat it up!
Grace and peace to you all,
—Martin
