Greetings, body of Christ members around the world.
The Sunday video ("Sin Series, Part 1) from 1996 is going to be late today. Rodney Paris got stuck in a tough spot last night with primitively slow internet. The video has been uploading for nearly 24 hours now, and it's only at 54%. It is now uploading at the blistering pace of 2% per hour. At this rate, the video may be ready sometime tomorrow. (This may not be an exaggeration,
but hopefully you'll get it today.) Thank you for your patience. This is all part of suffering evil with the evangel.
I watched and edited this video yesterday morning and afternoon and—wow!—I loved it. Rodney did some really creative things in this one. I couldn't take my eyes from it. The truth is as timeless as ever. You're going to love it. Let this whet your appetite.
This audio was recorded on cassette tape in Newport News, Virginia, in an ex- dental office at a strip mall that, at that time, served as the ecclesia of Robert Allen Jr., a brother I met that weekend for the first time. We shared the truth of the salvation of all. I think I delivered nine messages in three days that weekend. Jean Douglas of Atlanta, Georgia, accompanied me. Jean
Douglas—may he rest in peace.
I remember that this was the weekend of the first Tyson/Holyfield fight: November 9, 1996. Robert invited Jean and me over to his house to watch the fight with him and his friends. There were about twenty in attendance that evening, with Jean and me being the only white dudes. It is one of my best memories ever. The roof just about came off that place. I would love to go back to
that time for a visit. What a beautiful bunch of folks: listening enthusiastically to messages about freedom from Sin and the eons, and then two hours later going crazy over two guys beating the crap out of each other. To live is Christ!
I'll be giving you a special video tomorrow—you're going to be surprised. Truth marches on. And thank God that He has made all of us joint-participants in His marvelous works.
Together with you, awaiting our Savior out of heaven,
—Martin
