The law of sin and death currently operates in us. Simply put, the law of sin and death means that we sin because we are dying. This is an immutable law. The good news is that there is
another law operating contemporaneously with this law, and it is "the law of life in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:2). What does the law of life in Christ Jesus do? Only this: it "FREES YOU from the law of sin and death" (Romans 8:2).
