If the spirit of God is in you, you are no longer a debtor to the flesh. That is, you no longer owe the flesh the attention required to fix it. If you are living in accord with flesh—as
Christians do with their constant worrying about pleasing God in the flesh—then you are about to be dying. That is, if you miss the righteousness of Christ because you are so busy trying to establish your own righteousness, then your portion will be eonian death. The walk belonging to eonian life is that which looks to the cross of Christ for righteousness, thanking Jesus Christ for it and giving up on flesh altogether.
