Mother Teresa could never see the true cross of Christ because a fake cross was put in front of it. She could never see God's righteousness because a bogus righteousness (hers) was insisted upon.
Even "a different Jesus" (2 Corinthians 11:4) was served up to her in place of the true. Who constructed these false versions of the true? Satan. "The god of this eon blinds the apprehensions of the unbelieving so that the illumination of the evangel of the glory of Christ, Who is the Image of the invisible God, does not irradiate them" (2 Corinthians 4:4).
