Israelites have to "overcome" in order to eat of the tree of life and avoid the second death. What about those of the nations under Paul's gospel? Do we have to overcome also? No. We are required to overcome NOTHING. Jesus Christ overcame everything FOR us. We avoid death because of HIM, not because of our overcoming.
