All Eternal Torment lovers (i.e. Christians) use the parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus to "prove" that people actually exist in "the death state," and that some are burned in flames while others receive effusive praise from Abraham. Of course, the Eternal Torment lovers don't call this a parable. They think it is real. Here is how to explain to these people their tragic mistake.
