Dear Fellow Saints,
This video was so encouraging to me, listening to it 21 years after recording it. Truth is timeless— and so is the suffering in heralding the gospel of transcendent grace. (Most of the religious world loves law.)
Lately, there have been distractions and opposition to the work. It is easy to be swayed by other peoples' opinions. But the soldier of God need only tend to the voice of his Enlister.
In 2 Timothy 2:4, Paul compares the teacher to a soldier, and the Lord Jesus Christ to the One Who enlists him. It is essential that the soldier in war heed the voice of his superior officer. Likewise for the soldier engaged in the battle of truth–he must please the One Who gave him the truth in the first place and the exhortation to herald it: the Lord Jesus
Christ.
Even if you are not a teacher, this message will encourage you to stay the course as you minimize the many unnecessary and distracting voices in this life that can easily make you seek greener pastures other than the sometimes bloody fields of service to Christ.
Thanks again to Rodney Paris of Texas who really put out a masterpiece here—a riveting combination of video footage and text frames that will hammer the message home to anyone with a heart for service.
I hope to see several of you at the Richmond conference this weekend. For more information as far as times and places, please email Greg Davis at UniRec@protonmail.com. Greg is a faithful servant of Christ for you. It's not too late to join us in Richmond on Memorial Day Weekend.
