Dear Fellow Believers,
In this episode of Eternal Torment Week, broadcast from inside a Christian radio studio in the summer of 1999, five other believers and myself receive a call from an angry man named Bob who accuses us of being a cult and of manipulating
words (twisting the very Word of God) in order to teach our twin heresies of the salvation of all and the sovereignty of God. But as you will hear in this broadcast, the only person twisting the Word of God is Bob. He's a typical Christian, caught in the trap of orthodoxy, hating the truth as fast as he can hear it. As I listened to this show for the first time in twenty years, I wonder what the guy's doing now.
In this episode, my friends and I detail the three different Greek words that the King James and other common versions translated "hell." In these common translations, the word "hell" takes us nowhere, robbing us of God's revelation to humanity. When we read "hell" in our common Bibles, are we reading about Gehenna, hades, or Tartarus? Without a concordance, there is no way of knowing—well, except for obtaining a copy of the Concordant Literal New Testament, which translates these
three Greek words consistently. (go to concordant.org to purchase one of these Bibles. I have used the Concordant Literal New Testament for 39 years now.)
Here is one of those broadcasts where I riff off the song, "Pick up the Pieces" by Average White Band. This became known as "The Comment Corner," and it was always an exciting and educational 2.5 minutes of fun—except, of course, for people like
Bob, whose tradition-bound brains would explode, not only during this segment, but at every revelation unveiled from Scripture by a table-full of broadcast amateurs.
Rodney Paris loves converting the old cassette tapes from Grace Cafe and other conference addresses of mine into the multimedia presentations that you have been enjoying for more than a year. God Himself brought this ministry to Rodney,
and he is faithful every week, working tirelessly (the job isn't easy) to bring you the timeless truths of God's sovereignty, the salvation of all, the purpose of evil, and the glory coming for God (and to us) in the eons to come. Thanks again, Rodney, for another moving presentation.
Thanks to all of you as well for your love and support of this work. As I've always said, you're backing the right
horse. More and more people find this channel every week as God uses it to bring into the body of Christ those who have been designated beforehand—before the disruption of the world.
Remaining yours from the edge of the bottom of the Floridan peninsula,
Martin
