Dear Fellow Believers,
Most people do not realize that the entire terrifying yet false teaching of eternal torment disappears with the correct translation of a single Greek word. To say it another way, because of the mistranslation of a single, common Greek word, the false teaching of eternal torment is foisted upon generations of people who either believe it and embrace Christ anyway, becoming self-righteous
hypocrites, or reject it to become life-long God haters or atheists.
In the summer of 1999, five other believers and myself took to the Christian airwaves in Cleveland, Ohio, to expose this translating travesty. It's a wonder they let us continue our show, but they did. And for two hours a night for five days on live radio, we talked about the most important topic that few people ever talk about.
Thanks to Rodney Paris of Texas for converting the twenty-three year old cassette tapes from these broadcasts into a digital format and setting them to lively video and helpful text frames. This man is doing the Lords's work. To be sure, it is the Lord Himself Who determined that most versions of Scripture were faultily translated. Why? So that true seekers would have to dig one
level beneath the surface to find truth. But when God shuts a door He always opens a window: God provided us with concordances with which we may look for ourselves into the most grievous translating mistakes foisted upon us in the most common English versions.
God's open windows bring to the hungry seeker the clean, fresh air of revelation. May these broadcasts be an open window for you.
