Dear Fellow Believers,
In the mid '90's I was invited to a number of conferences in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. This is one of
the earliest talks I gave there, on the subject of faith.
The apostle Paul does speak of "your faith" to members of the ecclesia, but of course this is relative and not absolute. Faith ultimately comes from God, and can ONLY come from Him. However, speaking relatively, we each have our own faith, and it is right for Paul—and for us—to recognize that.
Sometimes we are tempted to think that we're not doing enough for God. When we understand what Paul means by the phrase "your work of faith" in 1 Thessalonians 1:3, we realize that having faith in this era of full-blown apostasy is indeed a mighty work. In fact, it can rightly be called a miracle.
Thanks to Rodney Paris for another worthy
offering from the cassette tape archives that I sent him a couple years ago. Truth is timeless. Thus, it doesn't matter if we are listening to cassette-taped messages that I made twenty-five years ago, or reading Paul's letters from 2,000 years ago. Truth is truth and it never ages.
Thanks to all of you, as always, for your love and support of this work. I am finally getting over this flu. But flu or
no flu, the show must and will go on.
Remaining yours, in faith, from the Floridan peninsula,
Martin
