Dear Fellow Believers,
In 1997, the father of my friend Ted McDivitt, George
"Bud " McDivitt, suffered a series of health crises that humbled him and put his faith in God at the forefront of everything. In the midst of this trouble, Bud asked his son Ted for a microphone; he wanted to tell anyone who would listen what he was going through, and how the pride of life can be and is the most debilitating human experience of all.
I think that this production, on the
heels of Rodney Paris' treatment of it, might be the best video that we have produced to date. I had not heard this in 23 years; I was moved to tears listening to Bud's testimony and watching the sobering video put to it by Rodney. After the testimony, teacher Phil Scranton comments, quoting extensively from the writer of Ecclesiastes, Solomon, whose task from God was to tell us that, apart from God, "all is vanity."
Rodney Paris is truly becoming an artist in front of our eyes every weekend, turning mere audio files into life-changing viewing experiences. It is not an exaggeration: this video will change your life.
Additionally, Rodney's choice of a "Return to Zender" closer video could not have been more appropriate. From top to bottom, this presentation is
at the top of my list. Thank you for watching.
And thank you for your continued support of this work.
From the peninsula, with love and appreciation,
Martin
