Some expositors think that when they reduce the gospel to "one simple truth" that it is somehow a red carpet for hordes of borderline believers to enter into the faith. What these expositors fail to account for is the snare of the cross (Galatians 5:11) which entails 1) mass rejection of the cross of Christ because it eliminates human contribution and thus debars boasting, and 2) doctrines of demons that become more devious as the message becomes more gracious.
