"Created by Elohim were the heavens and earth. Yet the earth became a chaos and vacant. Yet the spirit of Elohim vibrated upon the waters" (Genesis 1:1-2).

Here are the first three verbs in the word of God, stacked in the first two sentences of Genesis: 1) created, 2) became, and 3) vibrated. This, then, becomes a pattern of God's operations during the eonian times: 1) He creates, 2) He wrecks, 3) He redeems. We could cite hundreds of Scriptural examples of this pattern.
