Dear Fellow Believers,
The Christian interpretation of the armor of God of Ephesians 6 is a soldier decked out in war
gear, sword in hand, ready to take the battlefield. But this is not at all how the armor works, because this is not OUR armor, it is the armor of God. (Hm. It seems as though Paul just said that.)
Speaking of swords, the thrust of today's message (this is part 1 of 2) is that this armor does not protect you from Satan's frontal attacks, but rather from his lies. In other words, the armor of God
protects the truth.
I'm glad this important message finally made it into the line-up. By not understanding the armor of God, many people unnecessary battle Satan in HIS arena, being tricked into fighting Satan's battle plan, not God's. This is a waste of time, energy, and worry.
I recorded these two
messages in the spring of 1997 in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. The hosts of the meeting are both deceased. The couple who graciously housed my family and me every time we ventured to Kitchener to a meeting, are also deceased. Twenty-six years have taken their toll. They have done so on me as well. And yet, thank God we are twenty-six years closer to the snatching away today than we were when I gave these messages in-between lakes Ontario and Erie. To God be the
glory.
Also, let's toss some glory toward Rodney Paris of Texas, who rescued the audio tapes of this meeting from oblivion (and from the coming indignation) and presented them to you in a rare and pleasing form.
I am your brother and grateful slave of Christ, greeting you from the edge of the bottom of the
soggy Floridan peninsula,
—Martin
