While I enthusiastically back the foundational American tenets of "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness," these tenets tend toward a singular drive, in many, to acquire wealth. While there is nothing inherently wrong with acquiring wealth, this consuming enterprise oftentimes eclipses the pursuit of the things of God.
