While I enthusiastically back the foundational American tenets of "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness," these tenets tend toward a singular drive, in many, to acquire wealth. While there is nothing inherently wrong with acquiring wealth, this consuming enterprise oftentimes eclipses the pursuit of the things of God.

In this edition of MZTV, I offer one of the most misguided reasons, among believers, for why they do not vote. I, myself, leaned on this excuse for twenty-five years. When I realized how wrong it was, I adopted a GOOD reason not to vote. I share that reason here. But now I do vote, and I use a passage from the book of Acts to explain why.
