Dear Fellow Believers,
Saul had been anointed king of Israel by Samuel, only to be eventually be rejected by God.
Samuel grieved over the misfire but God assured the prophet that there was a wonderment on tap and that he should go to the house of Jesse, where God would chose a king of Israel after his own heart. Samuel expressed misgivings but God basically told him to buck up and stop crying because He would do a new thing via Samuel's hands and a small jar of anointing oil. This, of course, would be the anointing of David.
The lesson here is that, while we rightly mourn over those God has NOT chosen to believe in this eon, there comes a time to stop mourning and adjust ourselves toward GOD'S elect. God's elect may not be our elect, but God commands an aerial view that we decidedly lack.
I recorded this audio at the Willard, Ohio conference in June of 1995. Our friend Rodney Paris of Texas rescued the
cassette tape from a storage unit in Canton, Ohio, and here it is, remastered, for the benefit of a new generation of believers.
Thanks to all of you who have valued and support this work. God's hand is on us, for this outreach is now nearly thirty years down the road, and more people are being made aware of their calling every day.
With much appreciation and love, I am remaining yours from the edge of the bottom of the Floridan peninsula,
—Martin
