Dear Fellow Believers,
I recorded this message in Lansing, Michigan, in the summer of 1996, and it has been probably
twenty-five years since I last heard it. I THOUGHT I knew where exactly this message was going, but it took a wonderful turn that I did not expect. It started with the resurrection of Lazarus, but then ventured to a place that reminded me again of the determination of Christ to come get us—to extricate us out of this present wicked eon.
I will give you this clue: When Jesus Christ decides to do
something, He does it. When the time comes, He does not hesitate and nothing can stop Him. When you hear this applied to the snatching away of the body of Christ in this audio/video presentation, I think it will do to you what it did to me. First it surprised me, then it excited me, then it comforted me.
The video that Rodney tagged on at the end is a classic. It's a scene from what Dean Wilkinson
calls, "the best movie every made." Do you know what it is?
Rodney Paris is an extraordinary soldier. He gives much of his weekend to these videos, staying up into all hours of the night. He always keeps me informed of his progress. When I submit corrections to him, he never complains, he just patiently reworks the text frames or perhaps tries to find a better video. This man is a servant of the
people, but most of all—like all of us—he's a slave of Christ. I can't wait to see his rewards at the dais of his Lord.
You, the saints, have refreshed me again, so thank you ONE AND ALL who contributed last week; your generous hearts pump blood through ME, giving me new energy. I love you all.
We are
nearing the finish line of our time of humiliation here on earth. Next stop: the celestial realm and the right hand of God. In the meantime, I am remaining yours from the edge of the bottom of the Floridan peninsula,
—Martin
