Dear Fellow Believers,
As Adamic mortals, we have two major problems—no, one of them isn't bad breath. We are
sinners, and we are dying. These dual tragedies stem from two things Adam became in the garden: when he ate of the fruit of the forbidden true, he became a sinner, but when he disobeyed God, he became an enemy. One offended God's law, the other His feelings. Adam would suffer for what he did (the sin), but he would die for what he became (an enemy.)
Christ answers these two greatest needs. Instead of
spelling it out here, I commend to you this video. I recorded this message in the fall of 1996 in Fairview, SC. It has been sitting on a cassette tape in a storage unit in Canton, OH, for twenty years. Our friend and fellow-believer Rodney Paris has digitized it and made it dance with video and text frames. It's great to see this message come alive again!
This is mature meat, so get ready to dig in.
Christ solved our two biggest problems---He met our two greatest needs---on the cross. The work has been done and the outcome guaranteed. Just knowing these things is enough to change your life.
Thanks to everyone who has helped me with this work in whatever capacity. We are all in this together. I couldn't do this without you, and you have told me how valuable this outreach is to you. I always love
to hear that. Well---I NEED to hear it. Your encouragement carries me through many a difficult day—thank God.
I am remaining yours from the edge of the bottom of the Floridan peninsula (until Christ takes us home),
—Martin
