"Close calls" in life are only relative to our experience. We may say that a potential automobile accident was "a close call," but since it didn't happen it was not destined beforehand to happen. Since it was never destined beforehand to happen, it wouldn't matter if the car missed us by an inch or a thousand
miles; nothing could be further away from happening than "never destined to happen."
If there is no difference to God between an inch and a thousand miles, why do some things miss us "by an inch"? To remind us of His constant care and of how many bad things God DOESN'T bring to our doorstep.
Can I apply this to God's apparent wrestling match againstI evil?
