MZTV 869: The Mass Addiction to Religion
One of the characteristics of those who wish to present themselves as righteous individuals is the crusade against the classic addictions of the flesh: alcohol, pornography, cigarettes, and hard drugs
such as heroin. The purveyors of such condemnation are generally religious people—in the Western Hemisphere, this would be Christians. Yet while attempting to remove the splinter from the eyes of others, they themselves carry in their own eyes the beam of hypocrisy, being addicted to a drug far more damaging and addicting than any of these other substances: a loathsome self-righteousness fanned by the flame of demonic teachings. These teachings, subtle in presentation yet deadly in application,
are the brainchildren of deceiving spirits whose forte is capturing "innocents" and bending them to their will, elevating their victims to the status of godhood.
