Understanding that God is at peace with the entire world through the death of Christ helps us love normally unloveable people. It's not
perfect because we still occupy mortal flesh, but it's an improvement over wanting to kill people.
When Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5:15, "[Christ] died for the sake of all that
those who are living should by no means still be living to themselves, but to the One dying and being roused for their sakes," what does he mean by "no longer living to oneself"? Does he mean ignoring one's basic needs or guilty pleasures? No. He means no longer looking inward to see if one's life aligns with the Christ life. (Spoiler alert: it doesn't.) Imagine being delivered from that.
Well—you have been. So look outward toward the shining Son and never look inward, condemningly, again.
