I remember this show. This was the Friday of our first week of broadcasting at WCCD. After the previous night's show but before we had packed up to leave, Ted McDivitt said, "How long are we going to tiptoe around the topic of the salvation of all?"
True, we had been avoiding it. But—in my opinion—strategically so. After two nights on the
topic of politics—including the mature truth that God put both good and evil leaders in place—we had progressed to the definition of evil and God claiming to be the Creator of it (Isaiah 45:7). This went on for two nights. Not exactly Sunday School stuff.
But not good enough for Ted. He said, "We've been talking all around it, so we might as well lay it out. What are we afraid of?" "Oh, I don't know," I said. "Getting fired in the first week?" There was a short
discussion that ended with me saying, "Okay. Tomorrow night we'll lay it out. We'll tell the people what we believe. What the heck. We won't go into detail just yet, but we'll give the main verses. I still want to sneak up on it, though."
The following night (the show you're about to hear) I was a tad nervous. Well, there was a very good chance that we were going to have our contract cancelled and be kicked off the air. I really wasn't too concerned about that. Getting kicked
off a Christian radio station would be a feather in any true evangelist's cap.
You will hear the point in this show when Ted knew we'd crossed the line. Ted was sitting next to Charlie Cronk, who sat directly to my right. Ted handed Charlie a note, who then handed it to me. Being my usual self, I said, "What's this, they're handing me a note." The note said, "We're definitely not tiptoeing any more." Of course on the air I said, "Um, gee, I don't know where the creamer
is, you'll just have to drink your coffee without it"—or something to that effect. Then I probably winked at Ted.
The cat was out of the bag.
This is the show that Rodney and I couldn't quite get published last weekend. So here it is in all its glory, compliments of Rodney Paris and your's truly. I love listening to these shows, as I have not heard them in over twenty years. God was so good to us to give my Grace Cafe crew and me this opportunity to
herald the Word and to suffer evil for it. And now this timeless material is available to a new generation.
Thank you, EVERYONE, for your love and support. When I am making my show Monday through Friday, I turn on that camera and, by some miracle, I am aware of all of you. We are truly a family. I love bringing the Word of God to you, and I value your comments. And to those of you who contribute financially to keep the work and the worker afloat—I am so thankful for you. And
so are the thousands of people who has received this truth gratuitously.
I am remaining your brother in Christ and servant in the Lord,
