A woman attempting to lure us into battling an enemy that Christ has already defeated insists that the apostle Paul “struggled every day to fight his sinful nature.” This is a lie. Don’t fall for it. Don't even entertain it. This is the voice of the Enemy that has hijacked an unwitting yet nevertheless dangerous soul, untrained in the gospel of the grace of God, in an attempt to seduce us into re-entering the dark world that we’ve long ago been delivered from: RELIGION.  

Remember, we do not fight against flesh and blood, but against the principalities and powers of darkness (Ephesians 6:12) that would keep us uselessly engaged against a defeated enemy, tying us up in a killing struggle that can only serve to remove our affections from Christ.

The remedy? Ephesians 6:14, “Stand, then, girded about your loins with truth, with the cuirass of righteousness put on.” What is “the cuirass of righteousness”? THE TRUTH OF JUSTIFICATION. Never doubt that God has declared you righteous and that nothing is now condemnation to those in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1).
