If the viewpoint is small, Christians are in. If it's large, they want nothing to do with it. In other words, religious believers like to feel as big and as important as possible, and so the Scripture verses they refuse to even look at the most are those BIG verses that show (and prove) God as the sovereign of the universe Who works all things according to the counsel of His own will.

Such a gargantuan viewpoint will never do. The little fish needs returned to the smallest pond possible in order to feel like someone worthy of heaven.
