Dear Fellow Believers,
Back to ZenderTalk studios in Greenwich, Ohio, in the spring of 2001 for some basic teaching on the millennial kingdom heralded by Christ.
I remember how shocked I was to learn (back sometime in the mid 80's) that the kingdom spoken of by Jesus was NOT heaven but that its location was on earth. Huh? That was
the first of many shocks to come concerning that kingdom. People are still dying? There are still criminals? Rule is with an iron club? What happened to the streets of gold?
Then I found out that there was another time period after the thousand-years called the New Heavens and New Earth, also known as Eon 5. A definite improvement on the Millennium (here are the streets of gold) in that no more people are dying on the new earth and the club is made out of some sort of Nerf
foam. Criminals are segregated in the lake of fire, that is, they are dead. Everyone is quite cooperative.
More highlights from this volume of ZenderTalk: The difference between Man's Day, the Lord's Day, and God's Day. (Nope, nothing about Sunday.)
I really get on a roll on show #34. You will see.
But don't the Christians say that "the kingdom of God is within you"? and "the kingdom of God comes not with observation"? Don't worry, I deal
with these false teachings. The truth is spectacular and easy, once you see it.
I love the photos Rodney uses to highlight this audio-only show. Rodney begins with black and white images from the early 1900's, then pumps in some color 1960's vacation photos, families on vacation, eating at Howard Johnson's and staying at Holiday Inns. Man, those 60's photos brought back some great memories for me, yes, the kid with the perfect childhood. I even liked the 1900s photos (some
might have been late 1800's) as I envy those people, yes, I really do. No cell phones. None of the endless complications of today. And did I mention no cell phones? I am convinced that life was better back then that it is now, and a lot of it has to do with the lack of technology and the fact that people were generally smarter, even the criminals. The first century would be, for me, better yet.
Thanks to all who have and continue to contribute to this work; it exists because
of you. This is a beautiful grassroots operation that relies on God putting it on the hearts of those who love the teaching and yes, even love the teacher. I love all of you, I know that much. I knew you were out there, even 31 years go before we all met. God made it plain to me that you were out there. For sure it was a thing of faith—and yet here you are. Here you are. We are linked by the spirit of God and our common head: Christ, who is about to rescue us out of this current wicked eon
(Galatians 1:4).
Grace, peace, and love to all of you,
—Martin
