In 2 Thessalonians chapter 2, Paul details things that have to happen before the Tribulation can start. One of the things is, "the apostasy must come first." Some think this apostasy referred to by Paul is still future. Hm. Just how much apostasy are these people looking for? I am here to tell you that the apostasy started after Paul's death, and indeed the seeds were sown and
the early sprouts had already come up in his lifetime.
Before this conversation, however, I talk for about ten minutes on the illogical nature of human free will. It's quite a lively rant; I like it. Christians like to say out of one side of the mouth, "God knows everything" and then out of the other, "We have free wills," not realizing that an
omniscient God makes human free will impossible. Because if God knows what's going to happen, then it HAS to happen. And yet human free will tacitly states that HAS to happen (that is, nothing is DESTINED to happen), because humans are free to create their own present and future.
Buckle up for a ride, folks.
