Dear Fellow Believers,
You're going to love this week's ZenderTalks just like you loved last week's because the subject is, once again, the Snatching Away.
Rodney continues to surprise with his video creativity. Today the subject matter is cats, but Rodney offers up a special effect in the first few minutes that had me saying out
loud to my computer monitor, "Hey man, that's pretty cool."
The first four of these shows is a personal testimony about how I believed in "the rapture" for about four years when I was a Christian. (Yes, I was a Christian for about four years, between 1979 and 1982.) My information about the Christian rapture came to me via David Wilkerson and Hal Lindsay. I suppose it was mainly Hal Lindsay with his popular book, "Late, Great Planet Earth." (That's a late, great title, by the
way.)
Then in 1982 I was introduced by my fiancée and soon-to-be-wife to a "Kingdom" teacher named Ray Prinzing. Ray, along with my father-in-law, introduced me to the salvation of all. But Ray was an Israelite guy who said that the rapture was "escapism," and he pointed to the 144k going THROUGH the Day of Indignation in order to "disprove the Rapture." I couldn't argue with that (at the time), because there it was right in the book of Revelation. So I abandoned the rapture
for about four years.
Then, in 1985-86, I came across the Concordant Publishing Concern. This, too, happened through my wife's family. I had been noticing on my own the fact that the apostle Paul was saying some radical things that seemed oppositional to what I was reading in the book of Revelation, and also from things said by the Lord in the four accounts. "What's going on here," I said to myself and to a cat that was sitting on my lap at that time.
I
wrote to the Concordant Publishing Concern and, in 1986, received every publication they offered. This was one of the greatest days of my life—it turns out. It was then I discovered: OH MY. THERE ARE TWO GOSPELS IN THE NEW TESTAMENT. I was back to being a believer in the rapture, except now it was no longer the rapture, but the "Snatching Away." This was the proper, Concordant translation of the Greek word "harpazo."
I have happily been a Snatching Away guy ever
since.
In Show 74, I describe how unwittingly deceptively Ray Prinzing and others forced the Snatching Away into being figurative language. (Oh, but it's anything BUT figurative.)
Show 75 (the Friday show) has me explaining the difference between "spiritual" and "metaphorical." Also, somewhere around here, I embark upon a helpful dissertation concerning clouds. Almost all Scriptural clouds are literal water vapor. There is only one metaphoric instance of
"cloud" that I know of in Scripture.
As I said, you're going to love these five shows. Rodney and I love bringing them to you.
I am SO THANKFUL for all of you who have followed and enjoyed my work over the years, and also those of you who have only recently discovered it. I love you all, and you have found a home here. Super thanks to those who have contributed financially to this work, apart from which the work could not continue. How could I ever say
"thank you" enough? And yet I do try. You keep me encouraged and this in turn assures me that God wants this operation to keep operating. And that it will, as God provides and gives me the strength and desire.

Grace and peace to you all from the edge of the bottom of the Floridan peninsula,
