One of the most outrageous promises God made in the Old Testament was His promise to put a new heart into the nation of Israel, in fact, to write His laws on their hearts so that they would be enabled from WITHIN to do the law and administer it among the nations. God followed up this promise with the
assurance that, as long as the sun—the sun that HE MADE—continues to shine, He will do this for Israel "in the coming days." In other words, the God Who made the sun, the moon, the stars, and everything else—He can accomplish all His desires.
Fast-forward to 2 Corinthians 4:6. Another outrageous promise: we, the members of the body of Christ, will know
everything of God and about God when we actually look into the face of Jesus Christ. How can we be assured that this will happen? "The God Who says that, 'out of darkness light shall be shining,' is He Who shines in our hearts." He pulls out the God card again. "I am the One Who said 'Let there be light,' and there was light. I will exercise similar power and glory within your hearts up to and including the moment when I change your mortal bodies into immortal ones and you behold the face of
Jesus Christ."
Okay. That's a pretty convincing guarantee that we will see the face of Jesus Christ, while simultaneously knowing all the things of God. All God has to do to make this happen is speak it into existence, just as He did with the light at the dawn of Eon 2. Not a bad performance resume. Not too shabby of a guarantee.
So now—it's only a matter of time.
