Good morning, fellow members of the body of Christ. Love to you all from the Floridan peninsula.
The theme of these two ZenderTalk productions from 2002 is how to be patient with those God is not calling at this time. This is a helpful skill as it is quite evident that God is not calling MOST people at this time, calling to Himself a very few unwise,
weak, ignoble, and stupid people for the greatest glory that any human could wish or ask for: membership in the body of Christ.
Hosea writes of those who are "not His people" being finally called "His people" (Hosea 2:23). In the context, Hosea writes concerning those of the northern tribes of Israel, who left the land and were backslidden. But Paul hijacks the verse in Romans 9 and applies it to God calling out members of the nations for inclusion in the body of Christ. Was
there not a time when we, too, were not His people? Indeed. But now we are called, "children of God."
Being the audacious type, I take this a step further even than Paul and apply it to those of the rest of humanity who are NOT being called during Eon 3 into either evangel and who will not see the light of salvation until the Consummation. These would be many people you know. They are currently "not [God's] people." Oh, but they certainly shall be in the future, for "God is
the Savior of all humanity, especially of believers" (1 Corinthians 15:22).
You will be astounded and amused (simultaneously) at the story of a wife whose pastor told her that, if she wanted her stubborn husband to start getting the things of God, she should acquire a special anointing oil—provided by the pastor—and sprinkle it all over the house, and even all over the husband while he was sleeping. I believe she also even sprinkled it into the guy's underwear drawer. Shocking
to relate, none of this worked. The lesson is that our family and friends will come when GOD calls them—and not before. Perhaps we share the evangel with them once or twice, but then we leave it to God and have peace about it.
(This husband's boxer shorts ended up being holier than he was.)
At some point in today's video, I talk about rewards at the dais of Christ---something that, these days, there has been a ridiculous controversy concerning. I am happy to
see and hear in this video that my stance on this Scriptural truth has been consistent from that day to this, twenty-three years of making sense and being marvelously consistent. For these things, I am thankful to God.
Rodney finishes with a "Return to Zender" video from March 29 of 2018 titled, "Why You Shouldn't Share the Evangel." He actually leads with it as well, playing a fifteen-second clip at the start of the video in which I say, "Do as I do and don't share the
evangel!" As I was sitting here seven years later hearing myself say these words, I'm thinking, "What?" I did not remember what in the world I was driving at. I was hoping that the rest of the video would show up at the end, and it did. Needless to say (but I'll say it anyway), I was quite satisfied with the production, which reassured me that, yes, I do make sense for a living and have done so all these years.
Thank you for your support of this work---all of you. Special
thanks to the saint who has provided for me a new computer to replace the machine that got over-caffeinated last week when I fell asleep on my chair at 4:30 am with the computer and a cup of Joe in my lap. All is of God! (The generosity of the saints over these thirty-three years has never ceased to amaze me.)
Thank you, one and all.
I am remaining your brother in Christ and servant in the Lord from the edge of the bottom of the Floridan
peninsula,
—Martin
