Dear Fellow Believers,
Hello to you all. I make one main doctrinal correction in this video. It's in the first show, show 81. I no longer believe that everyone being saved is the gospel. Rather, everyone being saved is a result of the gospel. The gospel itself is the death of Christ for sin, His entombment, and His
resurrection.
This is a good video for anyone exploring the topic of grace---what it is, how it makes people feel. I describe one of my favorite scenes from the movie Erin Brockovich where Erin gets to tell a woman whose health has been compromised by the negligent actions of Pacific Gas and Electric, that she will be receiving a multi-million dollar settlement. Oh, the look on the woman's face! The Greek word for "grace" literally means "joy."
Who is able
to condemn us? The only one able to condemn us is our justifier. Gee, that works out pretty good, doesn't it?
I have to laugh at my comment after show 81. For some reason, I'm giddily happy. Gad, those were the days.
Also discussed in this video is how one "falls out of grace," a phrase Paul uses in Romans. Ironically, one does not fall out of grace by sinning but, rather, but still believing that sin can spoil God's opinion of us. This is probably the
greatest, most assuring truth available on the topic of grace.
Don't take my Scotch Tape commercial at the beginning of Show 83 seriously. I did it as a complete joke. Someone at the time took it seriously and accused me of "going corporate"!
Rodney finishes this presentation with one of my more popular "Crack O' Dawn Report" videos---this one from September of 2013---called "The 99.9% Syndrome."
Thank you as always for your love and
support of this work and the worker. There will be two more books coming out soon, so the contributions are greatly appreciated. You, the saints, have been so generous to me over the years. This work continues, literally, because of you. God moves on your hearts and you respond in love and in joy to help. How could I possibly thank you enough?
Your brother in Christ and servant in the Lord, from the peninsula, with grace,
Martin
