Greetings, fellow believers.
Here are some basic truths in these two editions of ZenderTalk from, I think, around 2004.
Our ambassadorship is a continual shock to me. We are ambassadors of Christ "as of God entreating through us." It's that "God entreating through us" part that gets to me. God is speaking to the world today, not
through prophets, but through members of the body of Christ. Does that not seem one of the craziest things you've ever heard?
Reconciliation vs. conciliation. Reconciliation is two-way, conciliation is one-way. In 2 Corinthians 5, "conciliation" is one of the greatest correct translations in the Concordant Version. "God conciliated the world to Himself through Christ." It's not yet two-way because the world has not accepted it. But on God's side of the windowpane, it's a done
deal.
I teach again here about the basic elements of belief, and that there was a day on which you "heard and realized the grace of God in truth." How this is still debated, I have no idea.
The last show is me reading my mail. Very emotional letters from folks whose lives were changed by the truth. Who knows, maybe I'm reading one of your letters!
Rodney tags on at the end MZTV 167 from May 10, 2029. It's a show called "The Oops of Adam
Vs. the Purpose of Christ." Adam had no idea what he was doing, but Christ knew exactly what HE was doing. And Christianity tells us that the mistake of Adam is more consequential than the one act of Christ on the cross?
Thank you for your support of this work over these many years. Almost 32 years in the bag now. You are my dearest friends. I think I have only two friends in this world who are not members of the body of Christ. We, the body of Christ, are closer than family.
I think of you always, and I know you think of me.
Grace and peace and love from the peninsula,
Martin
