Christ Jesus "frees [us] from the law of sin and death" (Romans 8:2). Notice: "Sin AND death." Sin and death are not sold separately. Isn't it curious, then, that Christians think they can eliminate sin from their lives while at the same time admitting their helplessness against death? Hm. Could it be that they are just as helpless against sin—but don't yet realize it?
