When Christ was on earth, it is well-known that He did marvelous works in the way of healing those with diseases and debilities. But for the most part, these works were limited to Israel. But as we know, Christ's role is two-fold. Not only was He a minister of the Circumcision, but He is also the head of the
Body.
The upcoming Tribulation will be an unprecedented time of peril upon the earth. The 144-thousand (12,000 from every tribe of Israel) will be sealed during this time and, we assume, will herald the gospel of the kingdom to Israel. But what of the nations during this time? The Tribulation torments not only Israel, but the entire world.
This is only my supposition, but I like to think that the body of Christ, having been made immortal and given the same authority as Christ in heaven AND ON EARTH, will be able to heal and protect those of the nations on the earth during the time of earth's greatest trial:
"Making known to us the secret of His will (in accord with His delight, which He purposed in Him) to have an administration of the complement of the eras, to head up all in the Christ -- both that in the heavens AND that on the earth" (Ephesians 1:9-10.)
While our realm is inherent among the
celestials, earth is not removed from our purview; Ephesians 1:9-10 proves that. And so why shouldn't we, who have been chosen out from among the nations, minister to these very nations during this time, much as our Head ministered to Israel during the days of His earthly sojourn?
