Dear Fellow Believers,
If you've ever wanted a compact teaching on the eons, here it is. Feast on this audio broadcast from the summer of 2002, to which Rodney Paris of College Station, Texas, has put some really interesting video to make this a multimedia presentation that even Barnum and Bailey would be proud of.
Did you know
that God's calendar has only 5 squares? This may have been the broadcast when I invented this description of the eons. I've used it ever since. Our calendars have 30 or 31 squares, but God's great eonian calendar scales things down by looking at the big picture and engaging us with five grand time periods called eons. And here they are in one handy-dandy broadcast.
It is comforting, when you're going through trial, to be able to get out of the weeds and the trees, back up, and
consider the big picture. This is the comfort I offer you in this program. To accentuate this truth, Rodney has got some great video footage that starts from the small, earthbound perspective and slowly backs up into the far reaches of the universe, looking down on just how small we actually are and how fleeting, really, time is from our perspective. As I said, when you're going through trial, this is a big help.
Each eon closes with a great cataclysm. The cataclysm ending Eon
2 was Noah's flood. I forgot that the Hebrew root for the name "Noah" is "Nch" (don't ask me how to pronounce it); the meaning is profoundly illustrative. It means "stop." With the flood, God quite abruptly stopped one time period in order to begin another one. This is precisely what we are looking for Him to do in our day. But before He does, the body of Christ will be snatched away from the earth and transferred to our celestial home where we belong.
The exclamation mark at
the end of this multimedia statement is a section of MZTV 944 from April 18, 2022, appropriately titled, "The Eon of Our Discontent." I do not remember making this video, but watching it yesterday for the first time in three years, I love it. I absolutely love it. Wow, what a confession. I am scrubbed raw in this video, while miraculously maintaining my sense of humor and spiritual perspective. I so love this video clip that I'm thinking of inserting it into an MZTV this coming week. I pray that
it is a help to many.
Thank you for your continued support of this work. You know that I could not keep doing this without you. The generosity of the saints brings me to tears whenever I consider it. To be so loved by so many is a blessing that I could not have dared to ever pray for myself, yet God lavishes me with grace. And I pray He is doing the same for you. The body of Christ's suffers together and let me tell you---as your brother in Christ, I am with you in your trials
and, yes, in your joys. Seems like there are more trials than joys these days. Am I the only one who feels this way? Something tells me the answer to that question is, "Nope. Not by a long shot."
I am remaining your brother in Christ and your servant in the Lord,
Martin
