During our Lord's trial before Pilate In Matthew 27:25, the "entire people of Israel" said: "His blood be on us and on our children."
"Um, gee, thanks, Grandma and
Grandpa. It's not enough that YOU crucified the Messiah, but you have to implicate US as well?"
This is a generational curse that has tormented the Jews ever since. But wait. Is ALL Israel cursed? As divine providence would have it, God made sure that 80% of the descendants of Jacob was OUTSIDE THE LAND before sending His Son TO the land. Thus, 80% of
Israel avoided this monstrous scourge pronounced upon the descendants of those who crucified Christ.
This enabled to so-called "Lost Ten Tribes" to be blessed in that it is they who have translated and published the Scriptures. For as Paul says in Romans 3:1-2, "What, then, is the prerogative of the Jew, or what the benefit of circumcision? Much in
every manner. For first, indeed, that they were entrusted with the oracles of God."
When has the recognized Jewry of the Middle East, since the time of Christ, ever blessed anyone with the Word of God? Never. And yet the Word has gone forth—not from the Jews in Israel who comprise a remnant of the Southern Kingdom of Judah, but rather from the stock of
the Northern Kingdom of Israel, scattered across the earth but found, especially, in the Christian nations.
Though they have blasphemed God's name in many ways, they and they alone are responsible for translating and publishing the Scriptures.
But there is more.
In this edition of MZTV: the good, bad, and the ugly of the people of God who escaped the curse of Calvary.
