In Luke 21, our Lord told His disciples that, just as a budding fig tree indicates the proximity of summer, so would the appearance of the signs outlined here assure anyone with eyes and ears that His Second Coming was imminent.
And yet there are still those today (a minority of killjoys and eon-lovers) who would mock anyone watching for signs and hoping for the soon-return of Christ. If the fulfillment of Israel's political aspirations is near, then our expectation of immortality and celestial glory is nearer still—for we must be off the world's stage before God re-starts the clock on Israel.
