When religious folks (and some of us, even) get to Romans, chapter 11, they read about being cut out of the olive tree and they take it personally, inducing panic in themselves, not realizing that Paul is talking about nations, not individuals. As I said, it even gives some of us pause.
But we have to remember to read Romans as a whole. It is outrageous to think that everything Paul said about justification in chapters 3-8 is cancelled out in chapter 11. I guess the temptation is there.
But no

This is not my finest moment physically or emotionally because I feel like absolute crap every which way. But truth always shines in spite of the vessel. Remember that.
