There has never been a time like this in the history of the human race, and anyone who doubts it has simply been an ignorant frog boiling in a pot of his/her own blindness. Because here are six measurements in the form of charts from a book published in 2000 called “Margin,” showing you that, since 1959-1960,
we have been on an exponential and unsustainable increase of human “achievement.”
But is it human achievement? No. It is either more numerous and sophisticated excuses for the “achievers” to forget about God, or more excuses for the victims of these “achievements” to become religious—both to the same result.
In all six basic categories—1) information, 2) complexity, 3) change, 4) explosive power, 5) maximum speed, and 6) Christianity—there is a flatline since the time of Adam. (The exception, of course, would be Christianity, but this is a subject unto itself.)
From the time of Adam to around 1940, the slope is slow and quiet; steady, one might say, but slow and quiet. But then, in
1959-1960, something undeniable starts occurring. Knowledge increases. Technology increases. Information increases. Change increases. Explosive power increases. And not gradually, either, but suddenly and seemingly inexplicably. The world is either going mad at the same exact time or God is preparing it for a Deliverer. Two prophets of God spoke concerning this time period, one from the Old Testament, one from the New.
Here
is Daniel from 12:4 of his prophecy—
“Now you, Daniel, stop up the words and seal the scroll until the era of the end, when many shall swerve as knowledge shall increase.”
And here is Paul from 2 Timothy 3:1—
“Now this know, that in the last days perilous periods will be present.”
---Daniel
—"The era of the end"
---Paul
—“The last days”
Look at these charts, recorded at their height in the year 2000 and tell me that, SINCE THEN, we have not sent the line straight into
the stratosphere at a terrifying and unsustainable rate.
Lift up your heads. Something great is about to happen—this time from above.
666 (the fulness of what man can achieve) is here.
