Greetings, Fellow Believers,
First off, what mother would name her son Melchizedek? Or is this his last name? And if it's his last name, what is is first name? Richard? "Dick," for short. "Dick Melchizedek?" We can only hope.
This is one of the ruminations you will enjoy from Show 27 as we head back to the Hebrews audio series, a
series I recorded in Windber, Pennsylvania, in 2013.
Comparing the Aaronic priesthood to that of Dick Melchizedek, the startling thing about Dick was that he was a king AND a priest, combining both offices into one. In this way, he perfectly foreshadowed Christ and the newborn Israel of the Millennium. There is more great information about Dick Melchizedek in these two episodes than you even knew existed.
The first thing I do in Show 28 is appreciate my
arms. I have done it since, but I think this is the first time that I have felt sorry for birds, who have to do practically everything with their twitchy heads and beaks—as they have no arms. But seriously—it does get serious after this.
Thanks to my sister Kelly and to Rodney Paris, the former of whom publishes and the latter of whom puts the original audio to beautiful, moving pictures. This is a collaborative effort that also involves YOU, for YOU are the ones who have
supported this work for so many years, and continue to support it. I am not a one-man show. I am a product of Christ and the body of Christ. To all who have contributed to this effort in the past week, THANK YOU. I work hard because I know you need this outreach, and I also work unto the Lord. But I know (and God knows) that I wouldn't last long without your encouragement. So thank you again.
Sincerely, from the peninsula,
—Martin
