Paul gives us some great news in 1 Corinthians 7:29: “The era is limited.” When you look at the Greek (which I will do in this video), you come to understanding that things are being wrapped up.
This is good news to everyone who hates this wicked eon. But, of course, those who love this current eon have to relegate this beautiful Scripture to another time and another people and say, “This doesn’t apply to us! Our era is limitless!” Clyde Pilkington is the current president and purveyor of this lie. But not to worry, because Clyde admits on camera: “I teach some things that are wrong. I am horribly wrong about things.”
Boy—I’ll say.
If Clyde Pilkington is your go-to guy, how can you have any confidence that what he’s teaching is correct when the man himself admits recently on camera that he’s teaching wrong things?
Listen, I’m not perfect. But I’m sure as hell teaching you correctly and I’m not “horribly wrong” about anything. Why? Because I’m teaching from Paul—ALL of Paul.
Next, Paul tells us how to live in an era that is going away. Basically, you hold to all things loosely. I’ve talked about this many times before, but now I possess a new urgency about it. So if you haven’t gotten this
truth before, you’re sure going to get it now.
The positive part of this is that we lowly ones are actually on the ascendancy. Don’t feel like it? Doesn’t matter. You just believe Scripture. “Even if our outward man is decaying, nevertheless that within us is being renewed day by day” (2 Corinthians 4:16).
I appreciate that all of you are watching my program, and I will never take any of you for granted.
Grace and peace from the peninsula.
