Christians have their own language; we like to call it "Christianese." But does the subculture known as "Christianity" actually know what it's talking about? Words and phrases like, "Bible," "prayer life," "sin," "praise God," "go to church," "Christian fellowship" and "body of Christ" are casually exchanged, yet often without true understanding. Why?
These words and phrases have become practically meaningless from overuse. Everyone thinks they know what they're saying, but meaning has been sacrificed on the altar of popular terminology. Has a clear grasp of God Himself been lost in the murky mine of Christian catch-phrases? Zender and McCoy forward an unequivocal: "Yes!"
